Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco is an American-Canadian singer-songwriter. She's released over 20 albums. DiFranco describes her music under the terms folk-rock and alternative. But it contains influences such as punk, hip-hop, and jazz. Ani Difranco is believed to be a feminist hero and a Grammy award winner. In the beginning, as one of the early female musicians in the 1990s, DiFranco created her record label. DiFranco's parents were Elizabeth (Ross), a previous student at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Dante Americo DiFranco met each other while they were each attending. Her father is Italian descent, and her mother hails from Montreal. Her song 32 Flavors, was composed by her, and performed by Ani. The track is part of her album from 1995 Not a Pretty Girl, which was her sixth studio album. Another version of the song appears on the movie soundtrack of the 1999 Canadian love story Better Than Chocolate. DiFranco apologized in 2013 after it was revealed that she had planned a three-day seminar at a Louisiana plantation. The event was later cancelled but she didn't show any regret. DiFranco apologized a couple of days later. Little Folksinger is an artist who has worked with a variety of artists, including Pete Seeger, Chuck D and Prince. She lives in New Orleans. Ani DiFranco lives with Kristen Ford. Within 14 months, Ani DiFranco began writing her own songs. She continued to perform them at coffee houses and bars in her teens. DiFranco was a student at Buffalo State College after graduating at 16 from Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts. Ani's custom Alvarez baritone design was conceived after many consultations that we had with Chrys Johnson, who was the representative for artist Alvarez. This guitar is made out of solid wood with a cedar top and mahogany sides. The guitar also comes with the System 600 Preamp. The owner is a resident of New Orleans, with her family members: husband and two kids. Lefty is their dog friend who wanders around as she talks. DiFranco is open about the fact that she feels mixed emotions regarding her career that spans over three decades.
