Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco is an American-Canadian singer-songwriter. She's released over 20 albums. DiFranco describes her music under the terms folk-rock and alternative. But it contains influences such as punk, hip-hop, and jazz. Ani Difranco is believed to be a feminist hero and a Grammy award winner. In the beginning, as one of the early female musicians in the 1990s, DiFranco created her record label. DiFranco's parents were Elizabeth (Ross), a previous student at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Dante Americo DiFranco met each other while they were each attending. Her father is Italian descent, and her mother hails from Montreal. Her song 32 Flavors, was composed by her, and performed by Ani. The track is part of her album from 1995 Not a Pretty Girl, which was her sixth studio album. DiFranco apologized in 2013 after it was revealed that she had planned a three-day seminar at a Louisiana plantation. The event was later cancelled but she didn't show any regret.
